Lyndsey began dancing aged four in her hometown of Blackpool. She was a Royal Ballet Senior Associate and member of National Youth Ballet before completing her professional training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
Lyndsey became increasingly drawn to Contemporary work during her training and joined National Dance Company Wales following graduation, where she remained for four years. Following this, Lyndsey toured with DanceXchange, Errol White Dance (now White & Givan) and Off Kilter; working with choreographer Ashley Page to create Paisley Patter. In 2011 she returned to NDCWales to perform Roy Campbell-Moore’s Cracked at the Wales Dance Platform. Most recently, Lyndsey performed in Upon Awakening with Fallen Angels Dance Theatre. She also spent many years working for Dance United and was appointed Rehearsal Director for the Ballet Boyz Rite of Passage project at the Lilian Bayliss in 2011. She returned as RD for Dam Van Huynh's Marsquake the following year. Lyndsey has also taught for Random Dance, Dance Base, Earthfall, Bigfoot Arts Education and The Education Group. Lyndsey has a particular interest in Cunningham Technique and undertook further training at The Cunningham School, NYC in 2010.
Lyndsey has taught at The Lowry Centre for Advanced Training since 2011 and is an Associate Tutor at Edge Hill University. A Rambert Animateur, Lyndsey delivers workshops on behalf of Rambert Dance Company. She enjoys teaching Contemporary and production classes for Centre Pointe’s Vocational College. In her other job role as a Pilates Teacher (Body Control Pilates: Matwork Level 3 RPS qualified) Lyndsey teaches for Energy Flow Fitness and Alderley Pilates.She continues to take on other artistic projects, working with visual artist Angela Davies on Weaving Narratives, shortlisted for the Lumen Prize and with the BBC on Ten Pieces.Lyndsey completed a PCE in Post- Compulsory Education in 2013.
